How Fast Can You Learn?
You can learn Tae Kwon Do and self-defense in your first lesson. The average person can feel improvement physically and mentally within six months. It takes approximately three years to earn the rank of Black Belt. The may take more or less time depending on the individual effort and achievement. Obtaining a Black Belt does not in any way end the student's training. Remember, Tae Kwon Do is a way of life and can be practiced for a lifetime. With our progressive method of instruction, students start with simple attack and defensive movements and progress into action forms or continuous movements. As coordination, strength, flexibility and control develop, students are advanced techniques. This is approached in a predetermined sequential manner where each student can progress at a comfortable pace for him or her.
How Do I Start?
All the new students at Brunswick Lee's Tae Kwon Do start with an introductory program designed to give them a chance to visit the school, meet the instructor, and find out about the benefits of Tae Kwon Do.
In the introductory program, you will find out about our cardio-vascular exercises and how they will increase your endurance and lower your heart rate. We will also show you how to develop your flexibility and you will be taught some basic self-defense techniques that could help you get out of a difficult situation.
